What are your Technology Fears?
As far as using technology in the classroom, I feel that Art is very "hands-on". I teach Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, and Art and Design. Therefore, I utilize technology mostly to present information and to show student and professional examples of art work. I guess, then, that my fear is that I don't want to remove the physicality of the visual art making experience. Another fear that I have is that the internet is so vast, I am still unsure how to narrow it down for myself and for my students. I would want to be sure that I am using the web 2.0 tool to enhance what I already have, not simply to add another thing to my plate. I just don't know quite how to start, as far as how to set up a wiki and how I would organize participation as well as how I would take the time to check participation.

What are your expectations for this class, and what do you really want to take back to your classrooms?
My expectation is that I hope to be able to actually use this tool in at least one of my classes. I feel like I could pilot it as an experiment to see how it is received by my students. As of now, I feel like I could have students participate in an online discussion about a work of art. I could also conduct an online critique of student work as well.
